- Married to his wife Mary for 31 years with one daughters (Karen) who is also a doctor and is in practice with her father

- Playing Pottstown to a tie in 1962 after losing the opener to Upper Perkiomen, convincing the team they could make some noise in the Ches-Mont League that season
- Beating Spring-Ford on Thanksgiving Day when Robert ran for 238 yards, clinching the Ches-Mont Championship
