• Played right half back and safety from 1954 to 1956
• Area's leading scorer as a senior, with 14 touchdowns
• All-Berks selection during senior season as a safety
• Also competed in track and field (100 dash, 200 relay, pole vault)

  • Worked at Firestone until becoming a woodworker. Now retired.
  • Married to his wife Lisa with one son (Phillip Robert) and four grandchildren
• Best Boyertown Football Memory
  • His 55-yard run against Pottstown in 1956 (first meeting between Boyertown and Pottstown), helping the Bears to the upset 12-6 victory
