The Bears opened up the home portion of the schedule on Friday night at BASH Memorial Stadium.
Exeter got off to a quick start, scoring on the opening drive as Jackson Kozik scored on the 5th play of the game, capping a 61-yard drive. Jacob Franek added the extra point for a 7-0 Exeter lead.
Exeter opened up the lead after recovering a Boyertown fumble on the ensuing kickoff at the Bears 41-yard line and running 13 plays to go the distance as Jake Hafer scored on a 1 yard run at 2:50 of the first quarter to make the score 14-0.
The Eagles went up 21-0 at 2:53 of the second quarter when Jake Hafer connected with Aiden Dauble on a 51-yard TD pass. Franek again kicked the extra point, making it 21-0.
The Bears then started to creep back into the game with just 16 seconds left in the second quarter. The Bears completed their own 11-play drop and broke the ice with a 36-yard field goal from Gavin Royce, which made the score at halftime 21-3..
After a scoreless third quarter, the Bears got back on the board at the 9:38 mark of the fourth when Tilman Henley crossed the goal line on a 3-yard run and Royce kicked the extra point to make it 21-10.
Exeter capped off the scoring with a Jake Hafer 6-yard run, and Jacob Franek capped off the evening for the Eagles.
The Bears drop to 1-1. The Eagles move to 2-0.
